Job description
Overview
The University of Cape Coast seeks applications from highly motivated, experienced, and results-driven professionals for the role of Manager at its University Printing Press.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and oversee print production schedules to ensure timely output.
- Examine materials, products, and equipment to identify faults or operational issues.
- Determine labor and equipment needs, along with production specifications, utilizing standard calculation methods.
- Lead and manage staff teams, oversee production processes and maintain quality assurance standards.
- Design and implement production sequences to achieve set production goals.
- Conduct routine maintenance on printing machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
Term of Appointment
- This is a full-time position offered on a renewable four-year contract basis.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Publishing Studies or a closely related field is required.
- Hold an M.Phil degree in Publishing Studies.
- Have at least four years of professional experience post-qualification in the printing or publishing sector.
