About the Role
Polyose Bio is building an advanced data-driven modeling platform designed to analyze extensive datasets, including omics data, and predict microbial behavior under various growth conditions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop probabilistic models or machine learning platforms to facilitate data-driven model discovery.
- Build computational pipelines to automate the iterative design-build-test-learn process, enhancing precision in microbial strain design.
- Work closely with Metabolic Engineering and Synthetic Biology teams to refine sugar polymer biosynthesis pathways in production strains.
- Effectively communicate methodologies and findings internally among team members and externally with scientists, industry leaders, and academics.
- Participate actively in creating and documenting intellectual property related to the technology.
Qualifications
- Passionate about promoting sustainability efforts.
- Thrives in a dynamic startup atmosphere.
- Holds a Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Possesses over three years of research experience within academic or industrial laboratory environments.
- Proficient in software development, machine learning methodologies, and probabilistic modeling techniques.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Experienced in analyzing large-scale datasets.
- Knowledge of omics, synthetic biology, and molecular biology is considered an advantage.
