Role Overview
This position sits within the Loss Prevention & Security function at a hotel property in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It is a full-time, on-site role for Saudi nationals only, focused on safeguarding guests, employees, and company property while supporting day-to-day security operations.
Key Duties
- Carry out patrols across the property, secure guest rooms when needed, and help guests gain room access.
- Run emergency drills, complete routine safety and hazard checks, and support investigations, interviews, and key-control audits.
- Observe CCTV and alarm systems, control entry to restricted areas, and keep accurate records of all access activity.
- Assist guests and employees during emergencies, respond to accidents, and provide first aid or CPR when required while arranging EMS support.
- Collect information, prepare incident reports, and safeguard confidential documents and records by releasing them only to approved individuals.
- Manage disturbances according to company procedures, address safety risks, handle interruptions and complaints, and remove unauthorized persons from the property when necessary.
- Support compliance with alcohol control regulations and use correct code responses when requesting help.
- Complete required paperwork for employees and assist supervisors with other assigned duties.
Leadership and Service Expectations
- Support managers in training, coaching, and motivating employees while serving as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
- Follow all company policies, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions promptly, and finish required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and protect confidential and proprietary information.
- Welcome guests, recognize their needs, and provide service with courtesy and genuine appreciation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, prepare accurate written materials, answer telephones with proper etiquette, and build productive working relationships.
- Help the team meet common goals, listen carefully to concerns from others, and uphold quality standards at all times.
Physical and Operational Requirements
- Be able to read and verify information in different formats, including small print.
- Inspect tools, equipment, and machines visually to identify possible defects.
- Use computers and point-of-sale systems to enter and locate work-related information.
- Move quickly when situations require it, including running, walking, or jogging.
- Stand, sit, or walk for long periods, including an entire shift if needed.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 pounds without help and over 75 pounds with assistance.
- Handle objects of varying size and weight with good hand-eye coordination and fine motor control.
- Work in narrow, confined, elevated, slippery, uneven, or sloped areas, including stairs and service ramps.
- Bend, twist, stoop, pull, and reach overhead or below the knees as part of the job.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Candidates should bring at least 2 years of relevant work experience and a minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience. No license or certification is required at the time of hire, although some locations may have additional licensing or registration rules.
