Role Summary

As a Lifeguard, you will be the frontline guardian of guest safety, ensuring smooth operation and a safe environment at all water-based attractions. This role demands vigilant observation, emergency responsiveness, operation of rides, clear communication, and adherence to rigorous training to maintain proficient swimming, lifeguarding, and life-saving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate all rides, water slides, and attractions as part of daily duties.
• Continuously ensure safety of guests, staff, and contractors.
• Perform duties involving working at heights, in water, and under extreme weather conditions year-round.
• Strictly follow manufacturer and department protocols for ride operations and guest safety.
• Maintain readiness in rescue and basic life support skills at all times.
• Comply with departmental training standards and testing.
• Handle logistics including moving furniture, ride vehicles, and equipment within the park.
• Communicate effectively with basic English skills.
• Work flexible shifts including nights, evenings, and holidays.
• Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor towards all visitors.
• Collaborate effectively within a culturally diverse team.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Vision correctable to 20/25 or better.
• Ability to swim at least 50 meters continuously using front crawl or breaststroke.
• Capability to dive underwater to a depth of 1.4 meters for 3 meters and retrieve a 10-pound object.
• Maintain 'test-ready' lifeguard competencies as per International Lifeguard Training Program standards.
• Proficiency in basic spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or experience with International Lifeguard Training Program or similar.
• Prior swimming experience.
• Possession of a UAE Driver’s or Buggy license.
• SCUBA diving certification.
• Previous work experience as a lifeguard.
• Guest service experience.
• Capability to swim 200 meters non-stop.
• Retrieve a 10-pound object from 5 meters depth.
• Tread water for 2 minutes without arm use.
• Intermediate or higher English language skills (reading, writing, speaking).
• Basic spoken Arabic proficiency.
