The Lean Expert in Cork will join the team responsible for designing, adopting, and implementing the Lean transformation roadmap on-site, reporting directly to the Lean & Digital Director. This team is tasked with developing and embedding Lean behaviors, standards, and tools across the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics division to generate meaningful business value.

This position plays a vital role in fostering Cultural Change to establish Cork as a genuinely Lean organization. Candidates must have practical experience in applying Lean methodologies and driving continuous improvement, serving as key contributors to the overall success of the transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Lean initiatives across critical areas of Cork's operations, promoting transformation and continuous improvement.
• Act as a champion, mentor, and coach to influence teams toward adopting Lean principles, digital integration, and a culture embodying servant leadership.
• Collaborate with business partners to identify, prioritize, and implement improvement opportunities through Kaizen events.
• Drive execution of Kaizen and Lean workshops according to continuous improvement objectives.
• Co-own event charters, metrics, scope, preparation, and detailed execution plans for improvement activities.
• Develop and enforce a roadmap for building and measuring Standard Work processes across business units.
• Define priorities for processes and designate process owners.
• Train teams on standard work procedures and establish key performance indicators to monitor process health.
• Promote sustainment of Daily Management practices and support a culture that embraces problem identification and resolution.
• Serve as a leading example of Lean methodology implementation and mindset throughout the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics business.
• Demonstrate practical expertise with Lean Core 4 tools: Problem Solving, Daily Management, Standard Work, and Action Plans.
• Apply knowledge of manufacturing technologies such as MES, EBR, and AI.
• Preferably have experience leading change in regulated environments (e.g., FDA compliance).

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven background in roles related to operations, transformation, or quality management.
• Bachelor’s degree in technical or analytical fields, ideally related to Supply Chain or Manufacturing such as Business, Economics, or Engineering.
• Experience working within highly regulated industries.
• A mindset focused on improvement with hands-on expertise in Lean tools and demonstrated results.
• Capability to facilitate and lead Kaizen events.
• Successful track record of driving substantial business process improvements.
• Strong leadership skills with experience shaping and managing transformational change.
• Proficiency in managing change within matrix organizational structures.
• Certification or training in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies with practical application skills.
