Labourer, Industrial Services (Evening Shift)

Overview

Our facility located in St. John's, NL is looking to hire labourers to support operations involving hydro-excavation and line flushing vacuum trucks. Successful applicants will receive training internally and will perform various tasks associated with industrial services.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and systems in accordance with company standards.
• Handle tasks involving high-pressure water systems.
• Perform hydro-excavation by removing soil to expose water and sewer lines for repair work.
• Flush sewer mains using high-pressure water techniques.
• Clean catch basins regularly.
• Assist with unloading debris from truck tanks.
• Carry out general maintenance of vehicles including greasing and cleaning duties.
• Follow all relevant operational procedures carefully.
• Participate in a rotating on-call support schedule when required.
• Undertake other operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Willingness and ability to work the evening shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
• Availability to be part of a rotational on-call duty as needed.
• Capability to lift equipment or objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong collaboration skills along with the ability to work independently.
• Successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.
