Role overview

El Car Wash is looking for a frontline lead to keep the site running smoothly, set the pace for the team, and make sure customers receive a high-quality experience. In this working leadership role, you will be on the floor with the crew, maintaining standards when management is not present and helping the operation stay organized, safe, and customer-focused.

Role clarity

• This is a hands-on lead position, not a desk-based supervisory role.
• You work alongside the team rather than managing from a distance.
• The role does not include direct reports or formal performance review responsibilities.
• You help shape performance through coaching, example, and visible site leadership.
• You coordinate with the ASM and SM when issues need to be escalated.
• The competency expectation sits between Self-Leader and Leader of Others.

Key responsibilities

You will be responsible for opening and closing the location properly, keeping the site ready for business, and making sure each shift starts and ends with strong standards. You will lead by example on cleanliness, safety, and performance, and step in to keep the operation moving when management is away. You’ll give team members clear direction in the moment, help correct course without creating friction, and support smooth customer interactions by addressing questions or concerns quickly and professionally. You will also keep communication clear during slow periods or service interruptions, while continuing to learn and grow into future leadership opportunities.
