Role Overview

As a Junior People Operations Manager, you will serve as a key operational resource for daily HR tasks and drive automation efforts within People Operations. Your role will ensure accuracy, compliance, and reliability in people processes across the company. Your innovative mindset will improve response times for employees, reduce repetitive work, and enable more focus on complex judgment-required tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all daily workforce administration including comprehensive onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Accelerate resolution of frequent employee inquiries by designing self-service and automated workflows.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement automation solutions leveraging AI to streamline repetitive administrative tasks.
• Support the monthly payroll process as a reliable secondary reviewer.
• Document processes and solutions to facilitate team use and expansion.
• Promote AI proficiency within the team to foster widespread adoption of automation practices.

Candidate Profile

• Hands-on experience building AI-powered automation or workflows, either professionally, academically, or personally.
• Prior exposure to People Operations or HR, either through internships, junior roles, or academic qualifications in HR.
• Good judgment to distinguish which tasks warrant automation and which require personal attention.
• Strong learning agility with ability to navigate unfamiliar tasks and adapt based on testing and feedback.
• Proactive ownership to see projects through to completion and independently resolve minor issues.
• Exceptional attention to detail and discretion, handling sensitive topics such as salaries and exits confidentially.
• Customer-oriented approach with a genuine desire to assist colleagues by providing clear, helpful answers.
• Proficiency in German (B2 or higher) and excellent written and verbal English skills.

Desirable Skills

• Basic knowledge of German labor law.
• Experience with HR information systems (HRIS), especially Personio.
• Capability to educate colleagues on AI tools or craft comprehensive documentation encouraging user adoption.
