Aykah is an expanding Canadian furniture brand emphasizing thoughtful design, honest materials, and fair pricing. As a Junior Graphic Designer, you will join the in-person team at our Burnaby, British Columbia office and contribute to bringing our brand's identity to life through various digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop on-brand product and lifestyle visuals for the website, online marketplaces, and marketing campaigns.
• Refine images by editing, retouching, and enhancing them to align with Aykah’s quality and branding standards.
• Utilize preset templates and workflows to deliver consistent, high-volume creative content.
• Leverage AI-assisted image creation tools with strong creative oversight for producing refined imagery.
• Create graphics for social media, email newsletters, digital ads, promotions, and other marketing materials.
• Produce e-commerce assets, such as Amazon listing visuals and A+ Content, adhering to brand guidelines.
• Support internal teams and the Design Manager with recurring graphic design and production tasks.
• Own routine production assignments to free senior designers for strategic projects.
• Accurately interpret creative briefs to deliver timely project completion.
• Organize design files, templates, and assets efficiently while coordinating with team members through clear communication.
• Handle multiple assignments simultaneously maintaining precision and consistency.

Required Qualifications

• A portfolio that demonstrates strong graphic design and image production capabilities; school projects, internships, freelance, or personal works are acceptable.
• Proficiency with design software such as Figma and Adobe Photoshop or equivalents.
• Solid knowledge of visual principles including composition, color theory, typography, and layout design.
• Experience using AI-assisted image tools with the ability to guide output to professional quality.
• Ability to faithfully apply brand guidelines and use templates and workflows effectively.
• Dependable and organized work ethic for managing repeated production tasks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a collaborative, positive demeanor.
• Receptiveness to feedback and ability to implement revisions thoughtfully.
• Exceptional attention to detail with consistent adherence to deadlines.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with Shopify, e-commerce platforms, or direct-to-consumer branding.
• Knowledge of Amazon marketplace content creation including listing imagery and enhanced content.
• Basic capabilities in photo retouching, motion graphics, or photography.
• Interest in furniture, home decor, interiors, or lifestyle brand aesthetics.

• This is a full-time, on-site position based in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.

• Compensation ranges between $22 and $25 per hour.
