Junior Chemical Operator

Overview

At our Niagara Falls facility, we are looking for several Junior Chemical Operators to join our team and contribute to the safe and efficient production of fumigation chemicals.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, continuous operation of the New Fumigation building, covering production of Ecofume, Vaporphos, and Cytop 1, reporting to the Gases Supervisor.
• Participate actively in production qualification, analysis, maintenance coordination, order processing, and customer relations in alignment with Syensqo's quality, environmental, and safety standards.
• Coordinate product availability with customer demand and cylinder inventory.
• Collaborate with Logistics, Production, Maintenance, and Customer Service teams to synchronize daily tasks.
• Lead planning and execution of shutdowns and startups in the New Fumigation area.
• Manage daily and shutdown maintenance activities.
• Support commissioning efforts for all new equipment introduced to the facility.
• Utilize Trackabout software to log daily production outputs and inventory status.
• Prepare and authorize necessary work permits and carry out Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures for maintenance and breakdowns.

Candidate Profile

• Possess post-secondary education.
• Bring a minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and keen attention to detail.
• Capable of managing several priorities simultaneously.
• Maintain reliable attendance and physical readiness without restrictions.
