Company Overview
A global manufacturing firm based in Warrington is seeking a dependable and skilled Joiner to become part of its refractory team. Operating on specialized projects both within the UK and internationally, this role offers the chance to establish a lasting career in a growing organization.
Role Summary
The Joiner will be integral in supporting production within an active industrial yard. Primary responsibilities include fabricating and maintaining wooden moulds, assisting in casting refractory concrete blocks, handling materials, and executing general yard tasks. Working collaboratively, the candidate will ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and with high quality craftsmanship.
Primary Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble wooden moulds essential for block production.
- Dismantle, clean, repair, and upkeep moulds post-casting.
- Create and maintain timber formwork utilizing joinery expertise.
- Support the casting operations of precast refractory blocks.
- Handle and transport materials and equipment safely throughout the site.
- Operate hand and power tools proficiently and securely.
- Assist with loading and unloading incoming deliveries.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the work area.
- Contribute to other production and yard-related tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Solid practical experience in joinery, carpentry, or timber manufacturing.
- Competence in using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Possession of a full UK driving licence is mandatory.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, production, or industrial settings is beneficial.
- Strong practical abilities combined with effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Fitness for physically demanding duties.
- Dependability, punctuality, and commitment to safety protocols.
- Forklift licence is a plus though not required.
Benefits and Working Conditions
- Hourly wage of £13.50.
- Permanent full-time employment.
- Standard Monday to Friday schedule with no weekend shifts.
- Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm, Friday 8:00am–3:30pm, totaling 39 hours weekly.
