Role Overview

As a Jira Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining an efficient, reliable Jira environment aligned with team workflows. You will manage Jira configurations, enable automation and integrations, and provide reporting and metrics visibility to support smooth operations across multiple teams. Additional duties related to enhancing Jira platform efficiency and usability may also be assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure Jira projects, workflows, issue types, screens, and schemes.
• Manage custom fields, user roles, groups, and permission schemes.
• Monitor Jira system health and performance.
• Ensure governance by maintaining consistent usage standards and access controls.
• Document configurations, workflows, and support audit readiness.
• Implement automation rules and integrate Jira with internal platforms and development tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot integration and configuration challenges.
• Create dashboards and advanced JQL filters to support project tracking and stakeholder reporting.
• Provide guidance to teams on effective Jira usage and promote consistent tracking.

Required Expertise

Technical capabilities expected include strong experience in Jira administration and configuration, proficiency with workflows, screens, schemes, advanced JQL, REST API integrations, and use of Jira Marketplace plugins. Familiarity with Jira Cloud or Data Center environments is also important. Additional skills include solid analytical problem-solving, cross-team collaboration, and meticulous documentation practices.

Educational and Experiential Qualifications
