IT Support Engineer

About the Role

Baka Pozd Business Consultancy is looking for a proficient and solution-driven IT Support Engineer to join its technology team based in Toronto. This position is ideal for IT professionals passionate about delivering technical assistance, ensuring IT system security, and maintaining smooth operations of the company's technological infrastructure. The successful candidate will be pivotal in offering support to employees and improving overall business productivity.

Key Duties

• Set up, configure, and support desktop computers, laptops, printers, and additional IT hardware.
• Deliver technical assistance for hardware, software, operating systems, and networking issues.
• Promptly identify and resolve technical issues to reduce business interruptions.
• Oversee and uphold network performance, security, and system stability.
• Administer user accounts, email platforms, passwords, and access controls.
• Conduct routine software upgrades, system backups, and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Keep records of IT assets, licenses, and technical documentation current.
• Support the deployment of new hardware, software, and technology systems.
• Collaborate with external vendors and support services for advanced technical challenges when required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Between 2 to 5 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or systems administration roles.
• Comprehensive understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, networking principles, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience with cybersecurity protocols, data backup solutions, and endpoint protection tools.
• Knowledge of cloud-based services and enterprise IT systems is an added benefit.
• Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication skills combined with a customer service orientation.
