Role Overview
Join the City of Moreton Bay as an Internal Communications Partner, contributing to the enhancement and future shaping of vibrant communities. You will be instrumental in delivering strategic communication initiatives that align with organizational goals, enhance employee engagement, and effectively articulate leadership messages.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans and campaigns that support organizational priorities.
- Produce engaging content such as leadership messages, communication strategies, briefing documents, scripts, and materials for campaigns.
- Serve as a trusted expert to leadership, offering tailored communication guidance and coaching.
- Handle complex and sensitive communication issues prudently, applying stakeholder insights.
- Provide mentorship to Internal Communications Officers and support team skill growth.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is an accomplished communications professional adept at relationship building and solving intricate challenges, with the ability to translate business strategies into impactful communications.
- Proven track record in designing and executing strategic communication plans and campaigns involving sophisticated content.
- Strong advisory capability with experience influencing and coaching senior management.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and relationship development.
- Advanced analytical ability to interpret data, recognize patterns, and make evidence-based recommendations.
- Confidence in managing sensitive, wide-reaching communication matters.
- Experience in areas such as change communication, organizational transformation, crisis management, or issue resolution is highly valued.

Additional Information
This is a permanent, full-time position based on a hybrid work arrangement with some work-from-home opportunities, located in Strathpine. The role operates on a 72.5-hour fortnight within a nine-day working schedule. Applicants must be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check as part of the recruitment process.
