Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and design-aware Interior Design / Project Management Intern available for part-time or full-time engagement. This position focuses on supporting a wide array of hospitality, residential, and creative spatial projects. Reporting to the Project Manager and Executive Advisor, the role involves close collaboration with the Creative Director and leads in Interior Design and Project Management to contribute from concept development through execution.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to interior design phases including concept, schematic, and detailed design.
• Help create moodboards, select materials and furniture, and develop styling references.
• Develop presentation materials such as decks and layouts for internal and client reviews.
• Coordinate project timelines and deliverables with contractors, vendors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Support project management activities such as scheduling, site coordination, procurement follow-up, and documentation.
• Conduct site visits assisting in defect identification, installation supervision, and project handovers.
• Assist in sourcing furniture, lighting, décor, and finishing materials.
• Maintain and organize project-related files, bills of quantities (BOQs), quotations, specifications, and procurement trackers.
• Research design trends, hospitality concepts, and operational standards relevant to ongoing projects.
• Undertake various ad-hoc creative and operational tasks within the studio as needed.

• Design Acumen: Ability to discern good composition, material quality, proportion, and styling; create considered moodboards and material palettes with an interest in hospitality and adaptive reuse.
• Project Coordination: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintain organized documentation and track schedules and vendor deliverables efficiently.
• Attention to Detail: Skilled at identifying on-site defects, ensuring finishes and installations meet specifications, and advocating for complete resolution of issues.
• Stakeholder Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with contractors, vendors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams, ensuring timelines and standards are met.
• Initiative and Flexibility: Self-motivated with the capability to work independently on ambiguous tasks, balancing creativity with practical project requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated with a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Spatial Design, or related fields.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage several workflows simultaneously.
• Comfortable performing site-related tasks including visits, furniture movement, installation support, material sourcing, and inventory checks.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• A keen interest in hospitality, residential, and experiential design sectors.
• Good eye for detail, layout composition, and styling sensibility.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, SketchUp, AutoCAD, or equivalent design software preferred.
• Experience or familiarity with project coordination and procurement is advantageous.
• Submission of portfolio demonstrating relevant skills and experience is required.

Work Commitment
