Role Overview
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will drive strategic growth by managing and expanding a defined portfolio of accounts and proactively seeking new business in your region. You will fully own the relationship with clients within your territory, using advanced phone and email outreach to establish strong connections with decision-makers and consistently increase revenue.
Success requires excellent communication and presentation skills, confidence engaging with business owners and key stakeholders digitally, along with analytical capabilities to convert customer data into actionable insights. Familiarity with consultative sales methods, planning calls meticulously, and following through diligently are vital. The role suits dynamic individuals with strong business acumen, enthusiasm, and a dedication to outstanding results. Blending strategic thinking with relationship building will support sustained growth and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage territory profit and loss by strategically overseeing customer volume, sales, and profitability metrics
- Conduct deliberate customer engagement through structured call planning, analysis, presentation, and follow-up
- Develop broad relationships within customer organizations, engaging ownership, sales, service, and merchandising teams to understand customer buying behaviors deeply
- Forge partnerships with stakeholders across finance, marketing, operations, and production departments
- Become proficient in customers’ go-to-market tactics including program management, merchandising calendars, and renewal procedures
- Lead the introduction of new products and sales initiatives through effective presentations and strategy execution
- Coordinate cross-functional teams utilizing internal resources like trade marketing, decoration services, EDI, pricing, and tailored solutions to enhance sales
- Maintain thorough administrative processes featuring accurate reporting, calendar management, sales funnel tracking, and program oversight
- Address issues promptly with a focus on rapid response and professional conflict resolution
- Use expert merchandising knowledge to showcase the company’s competitive edges and identify upsell opportunities
- Provide detailed product and service information through multiple communication channels ensuring clarity and timeliness
- Create strategic pricing proposals aimed at bolstering long-term revenue growth
- Apply consultative selling techniques to develop customized solutions for customers
- Deliver tailored product recommendations using samples, marketing collateral, and personalized approaches
- Effectively juggle various tasks across phone calls, emails, internal coordination, marketing, and web-based solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred; at minimum a High School Diploma is mandatory
- At least two years of demonstrated success in virtual sales, preferably within promotional products or apparel industries
- Exceptional spoken and written communication skills with strong presentation capabilities
- Proven ability to build enduring customer relationships with a client-focused mindset
- Advanced analytical skills with a record of identifying customer growth opportunities through data
Working Conditions
This role operates primarily in a professional office setting, regularly using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Schedule and Compensation
Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. This is a full-time, salaried exempt position with pay based on experience. Remote work options are available.
