Team Overview

The Risk Analytics, Intelligence & Surveillance (RAISe) team operates within Singapore Consumer Financial Services, aiming to create a strong risk monitoring framework. Utilizing advanced data analytics and detection methods, the team proactively identifies and manages risk trends to ensure compliance with regulatory and policy standards while maintaining risk within acceptable levels.

Role Overview

The Independent Sales Audit (ISA) Analyst role within RAISe is dedicated to verifying that sales representatives adhere to relevant regulations through post-transaction reviews. Responsibilities focus on performing compliance checks, monitoring results, conducting training, handling complaints, and driving automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute compliance checks under the Monetary Authority of Singapore's Balanced Scorecard Framework, including client surveys, document verification, and mystery shopping for sales representatives and bank policy adherence.
  • Analyze Balanced Scorecard outcomes to detect root causes of major errors or lapses and follow up with corrective actions.
  • Provide training sessions for new employees on vulnerable customer safeguards and the Balanced Scorecard Framework; mentor new supervisors on compliance checks and complaint investigations.
  • Conduct independent reviews of customer complaints related to investment sales transactions.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and internal process/system modifications to ensure current compliance practices.
  • Leverage Robotic Process Automation and Generative Artificial Intelligence to automate sales audit workflows for efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with at least three years’ experience in sales compliance within the banking industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulations governing investment product sales to retail customers, including the Financial Advisory Act and MAS Guidelines on Fair Dealing.
  • High attention to detail paired with excellent analytical capabilities.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and programming skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
