About Askable
Askable is a globally recognized user research platform trusted by leading companies like Woolworths, Qantas, Canva, BUPA, Commonwealth Bank, NAB, Telstra, BBC, and Mastercard. Founded in 2017 out of frustration with outdated research methods, Askable enables businesses—ranging from Fortune 500s to startups—to access high-quality participants and certified researchers that help deliver actionable insights and accelerate product development.
With offices in Brisbane, London, and Chicago, Askable is scaling its team to empower researchers worldwide in making user-driven decisions more efficiently.
About The Role
As an ICT Business Development Manager based at the Brisbane office, you will identify and secure new business partnerships with organizations not yet working with Askable. You will collaborate closely with product, marketing, and customer success teams to deeply understand customer research, usability testing, and how Askable’s platform drives real-time customer feedback into valuable insights.
Your mission includes establishing trusted, long-term relationships with prospects, managing complex enterprise procurement cycles, and surpassing sales targets to fuel company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently exceed annual sales targets by managing comprehensive, solution-driven sales involving multiple stakeholders across large enterprises.
- Proactively generate new business opportunities using your outreach and hunting skills alongside following up supplied leads.
- Oversee the complete sales process from pipeline development, lead qualification, proposal presentation, closing deals, to long-term account retention.
- Maintain precise sales forecasting and track predictive performance metrics via Hubspot.
- Represent Askable at industry events to foster face-to-face connections and collaborate with the Events Manager to plan and host company events.
- Travel to meet prospective clients at their offices as needed.
Required Experience and Qualifications
You should bring at least three years of successful SaaS sales experience with a history of winning new clients, especially in closing complex software deals involving multiple decision-makers from various industries.
Preferred experience includes:
- Building authentic, trust-based customer relationships by understanding their business challenges and delivering valuable solutions.
- Applying creative incentives to close deals within fiscal timelines.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies such as The Challenger Sale and The Sales Acceleration Formula.
- Experience selling software or services to government entities at local, state, or federal levels is a plus.
Desired Mindset and Soft Skills
- Commitment to team success, embracing constructive feedback and collaborative win scenarios.
- Ability to autonomously manage workload, solve problems proactively, and own personal goals.
- Continuous growth orientation, eagerly pursuing improvement for oneself, the team, and the organization.
- Quick learning capability to grasp evolving product features and solutions.
Benefits and Perks
- Attractive competitive salary.
- Askable Days: enjoy a monthly paid day off, totaling seven weeks of annual leave.
- Daily provision of nutritious and tasty lunches.
- Complimentary public transport access to and from the office.
- Additional perks available and discussed during the interview process.
