Overview
Join NetEffects as a Human Resources Generalist, where you will contribute to the smooth functioning of HR operations crucial to both business success and employee satisfaction. This role involves collaborating with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, site management, and employees, providing a comprehensive exposure to various Human Resources functions in a fast-paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a positive workplace culture by ensuring adherence to company policies, collective bargaining agreements, and fair treatment of employees.
- Handle employee and labor relations matters, ethics issues, and workplace concern intakes, including conducting initial investigations and maintaining detailed documentation.
- Prepare summaries and recommendations following investigations for review by HR leadership.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and leadership to address employee relations issues related to attendance, conduct, discipline, and performance management.
- Offer coaching and guidance to supervisors and employees on HR policies and workplace concerns.
- Ensure data accuracy in HRIS by processing employee transactions such as hires, transfers, promotions, compensation updates, status changes, and terminations promptly.
- Conduct HR audits to verify data correctness, regulatory compliance, and maintain personnel records integrity.
- Generate HR reports, analytics, and metrics to assist with business decisions.
- Maintain employee personnel files and documentation aligning with company and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate employee leave programs and collaborate with Centers of Excellence to manage compliance and return-to-work processes.
- Support recruitment by coordinating hiring activities, pre-employment processes, onboarding, and new hire orientations.
- Assist in employee engagement through communication, recognition, presentations, and organizing events.
- Act as a reliable contact for employee questions on HR programs, policies, benefits, and resources.
- Support consistent administration of HR policies, employment practices, collective bargaining agreements, and adherence to employment laws at all levels.
- Work with HR leadership to update and communicate HR policies, procedures, and handbook content.
- Stay informed about employment legislation, labor regulations, and HR best practices.
- Contribute to workforce planning, process improvements, and other HR projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Between two and five years of experience as an HR Generalist, ideally within manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or operational sectors.
- Hands-on experience in employee relations, investigations, performance management, HRIS administration, onboarding, and HR operations.
- In-depth knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
- Strong skills in analysis, investigation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive information discretely.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
- Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience in interpreting HR metrics and workforce analytics to guide operational decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting unionized workforces.
- Background in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, life sciences, CDMO, or other regulated industries.
- Possession of professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is advantageous.
