Head of Finance

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Finance to steer the finance department at a multinational corporation located in Abu Dhabi. This senior position demands a hands-on leader capable of managing daily finance operations while enhancing financial reporting, internal processes, and organizational financial transparency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily financial operations and supervise an existing finance team.
• Assume accountability for management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Revamp and update current financial reports, templates, and processes for improved efficiency.
• Enhance the precision, quality, and timeliness of all financial data provision.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Offer insightful financial guidance to the General Manager and senior leadership.
• Track business performance and detect financial and commercial risks.
• Fortify financial controls and governance throughout the organization.
• Oversee invoicing procedures, collections, and working capital management.
• Collaborate with operational and department heads to elevate commercial and financial outcomes.
• Develop the finance team by establishing stronger structures, accountability measures, and efficiency improvements.
• Contribute to broader transformation projects and process optimization efforts.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will hold a professional accounting certification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA and possess substantial leadership experience in finance, including roles like Head of Finance, Finance Manager, or Financial Controller. Residency in the UAE with prior experience managing finance in a complex operational setting within the region is essential.

Key capabilities include advanced management accounting, detailed reporting, budgeting and forecasting, proven improvements in reporting and financial controls, team leadership, strong commercial insight, and excellent stakeholder communication and engagement skills.
