Role Overview

We are seeking a GL Accountant (m/f/d) based at our EMEA Headquarters in Frankfurt. This role involves guaranteeing the precision and reliability of our general ledger, assisting with statutory and group reporting duties, and collaborating closely with finance teams throughout Europe, Singapore, and Japan.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately and comprehensively record business transactions within the general ledger in a timely manner.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in line with IFRS and HGB standards.
• Prepare and post necessary accruals, provisions, and prepayments.
• Support both internal and external reporting efforts, including compliance with J-SOX requirements.
• Draft and submit VAT returns and statistical reports across Germany and other relevant jurisdictions.
• Coordinate tax-related matters in collaboration with external advisors and tax authorities.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects representing the Finance department.
• Engage with auditors, banking institutions, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Provide support to the wider Accounting team regarding operational and project-based tasks.

Candidate Requirements

• Completed vocational training or academic degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar accounting position.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and closing procedures.
• Proficiency in SAP and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent in both German and English languages.
• Exceptional attention to detail combined with analytical abilities.
• Capability to operate effectively within an international, collaborative environment.
