About the Company
The client specializes in transporting agricultural products, notably hauling apples across Ontario.
Role Overview
The position involves transporting apples and general freight throughout Ontario. Operations begin early in the morning between 4am and 9am, continuing until all assigned deliveries are completed.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport apples and other freight within Ontario.
- Operate power carts and pump carts as part of freight handling.
- Engage in customer service, interacting with farmers who have specific requirements for product handling.
- Complete between one to four pick-ups and drops daily.
- Drive routes reaching as far as Ottawa.
- Handle both manual and automatic tractors, as well as dry van trailers.
Requirements
- Valid AZ commercial driving license.
- At least 2 years of relevant driving experience.
- Minimum age of 25 years due to insurance constraints.
- Proficient in English for effective communication.
- Comfortable driving manual transmission trucks.
