About the Role
Become a vital part of a community-focused, locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart, delivering health, beauty, and convenience services with a customer-first approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage merchandising efforts and provide exceptional customer service.
- Ensure smooth flow of merchandise from receiving area to sales floor.
- Organize stockrooms following Backroom Inventory Management Instructions (BIMI).
- Prepare and execute signage including flyers, corporate markdowns, and labels.
- Maintain expert knowledge in designated product inventory areas such as product placement, expiry monitoring, and promotions.
- Receive deliveries from distribution centers, seasonal shipments, and direct store deliveries (DSD).
- Keep backroom areas clean and orderly according to organization standards.
- Complete accurate documentation for merchandise receipt and returns.
- Assist management in upholding quality and standards of perishable goods.
- Uphold store appearance through adherence to uniform policy and dress code.
- Proactively assist customers on the sales floor, responding to inquiries about product location, rainchecks, and loyalty programs.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines as well as store policies including loss prevention.
- Perform additional responsibilities including cashier duties when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Familiarity with computers and cash registers.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Detail-oriented mindset with ability to work autonomously.
- Capability to adjust to dynamic store floor situations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders as needed.
- Flexible to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.
