Flight Scheduler

About the Role

We are looking for an analytical and meticulous Flight Scheduler to join our Operations team, a pivotal position charged with crafting the Day 0 and Day 1 flight schedules. This role focuses on achieving the right balance between operational efficiency, regulatory adherence, and superior service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage the Day 0 and 1 flight schedules, ensuring all crew pairings and aircraft assignments are compliant and confirmed.
• Maximise utilization of crew and aircraft by reducing repositioning, inefficiencies, and operational expenses.
• Ensure crew legalities and qualifications meet required duty limits, endorsements, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain close collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Crew Dispatch, and Flight Communications to synchronize schedules and troubleshoot issues.
• Effectively respond to operational disruptions such as delays, aircraft-on-ground events, and unexpected last-minute changes.
• Proactively detect scheduling risks and inefficiencies and identify opportunities to offload workloads, escalating situations when necessary.
• Clearly communicate any schedule modifications and maintain detailed and accurate operational records and shift handovers.
• Work jointly with international teams across the US and Europe to optimise fleet and crew deployment on a global scale.
• Organize and coordinate crew accommodation and travel arrangements during active scheduling periods as needed.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized aviation professional adept at problem-solving in fast-paced, time-sensitive settings where accuracy and quick decision-making are crucial.

Essential Qualifications

• Experience in aviation scheduling, crew planning, or operational control environments.
• In-depth knowledge of crew duty regulations, legal requirements, and ICAO compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions and resolve problems in real-time operational contexts.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with scheduling and operations software such as LEON, FOS, or similar platforms.
• Capability to perform effectively under pressure and juggle multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in business aviation, fractional ownership, charter services, or airline operational settings.
• Familiarity with international or multi-region scheduling operations.

Working Pattern

• Rotation schedule of 4 days on followed by 4 days off.
• 12-hour shifts covering both daytime and evening hours.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays when required.
