Job description
About the Role
EzyHelpers bridges urban households across India with verified domestic workers including live-in maids, helpers, cooks, nannies, elderly caregivers, drivers, and patient-care attendants. While placements primarily occur in metro cities such as Bangalore, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Bareilly, the majority of candidates originate from source-rich Indian states like the North East, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, interior Tamil Nadu, tribal areas of Odisha and Jharkhand, and parts of West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.
The Field Mobiliser acts as a ground-level recruitment officer within designated source districts. This position involves identifying, convincing, and enrolling suitable candidates from the local community for domestic job opportunities in urban centers. The role requires honest discussions, obtaining family consent, setting realistic expectations about salary and working conditions, and ensuring accurate documentation. The position demands extensive fieldwork rather than tele-calling, including visits to villages, urban wards, training centers, self-help groups, NGOs, local government offices, and educational institutes. A proficient Field Mobiliser typically brings 15–25 placement-ready individuals monthly, significantly improving their income prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a monthly mobilisation strategy for the assigned district or cluster, covering various local networks and institutions such as villages, urban wards, SHGs, NGOs, panchayats, and community groups.
- Conduct field visits, organize group meetings, and have one-on-one discussions with potential candidates, primarily women aged 21–55, but also couples for housekeeping and security roles.
- Collaborate with local stakeholders including Panchayat Secretaries, ASHAs, anganwadi workers, ITI placement cells, government skill development centers, NRLM/SRLM SHG federations, religious groups, and local agents to maintain a steady stream of credible candidate leads.
- Host informative sessions to raise community awareness about live-in, full-time, and patient-care job opportunities in cities, address safety concerns, and clarify salary and leave policies.
- Screen candidates thoroughly, assessing criteria such as age, marital status, family approval, language proficiency, prior experience, cooking skills, health, willingness to relocate, salary expectations, and joining availability.
- Align candidate profiles with current urban job demands including various domestic helper categories and couples for household or farm roles.
- Set and manage realistic candidate expectations regarding salary range, work hours, accommodation, off days, and urban lifestyle without overpromising.
- Collect necessary identification documents including Aadhaar, PAN, voter ID/ration card, photographs, references, and confirm addresses with geo-tagged locations.
- Conduct verbal reference checks with family or village contacts before finalizing candidates.
- Complete candidate profiles in the company’s digital system on the same day, including skills, languages, past work, salary expectations, joining date, photos, videos, and job categories.
- Provide family counseling to address safety and respect concerns from parents or elders.
- Coordinate travel logistics such as train/bus bookings and ensure smooth handover to city placement teams.
- Remain accessible to candidates during the initial 30 days post-placement to assist with adjustment, salary queries, and communication to minimize dropouts.
- Regularly receive demand briefs from central sourcing and push candidate profiles within agreed timelines.
- Submit Daily Work Reports documenting activities, leads, screenings, candidate profiles, and travel distances.
- Abide strictly by the company Code of Conduct—no commissions from candidates, honest promises only, no recruiting minors, and always securing family consent.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- Native proficiency in the primary language of the assigned region (examples: Assamese, Bodo, Khasi, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Santhali, Bengali, Bhojpuri).
- Functional knowledge of Hindi and basic English for coordination with central teams.
- 1 to 4 years relevant field experience in areas such as blue-collar recruitment, NGO or government livelihood projects, microfinance, insurance, healthcare supervision, FMCG distribution, skill development, or domestic placement agency roles.
- A well-established local network within the district and good community recognition.
- Ownership of a two-wheeler with a valid driving licence to cover 40–80 km daily for fieldwork.
- Comfort with smartphone usage including WhatsApp, Google Maps, company applications, photo uploads, and local language typing.
- High integrity and reliability owing to the sensitive nature of recruiting vulnerable workers, with background checks conducted on mobilisers.
- Availability to travel 20–24 days monthly within the cluster and occasional multi-day trips to destination cities.
- Minimum education of Class 12 (10+2); graduates preferred but not required.
Additional Desirable Skills
- Prior experience as a placement officer or mobiliser with recognized skill development schemes like DDU-GKY, PMKVY, NULM, Skill India, NRLM, SRLM, or ITI placement cells.
- Existing relationships with district-level SHG federations, panchayats, or NGOs.
- Familiarity with digital tools such as Google Sheets, CRM software, biometric kits, or e-KYC processes.
- Knowledge of a second regional language apart from the native tongue.
- Experience with cross-state placement processes, understanding both origin and destination perspectives.
- Comfort and confidence in delivering small group presentations (10–30 participants).
