F&B Assistant (all genders)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated F&B Assistant to join our team full-time at a&o Hostels in Frankfurt am Main. This position involves contributing actively in both kitchen and bar operations, ensuring quality and hygiene standards, and supporting daily tasks such as cleaning, stock management, and menu preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in kitchen and bar operations, actively supporting daily business and cleaning duties
• Prepare and maintain the breakfast buffet
• Uphold food safety, quality, and HACCP standards in both kitchen and bar areas
• Manage pantry and perform stocktaking by monitoring food and beverage storage and ordering supplies as needed
• Receive and organize deliveries
• Develop dinner buffet menus
• Coordinate staff schedules for kitchen and bar teams

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrate reliability, attention to quality, and flexibility
• Show strong commitment and ability to work independently
• Be a proactive individual who maintains a positive attitude even in busy or stressful environments
• Experience in hospitality or gastronomy is a plus but not mandatory
• Good communication skills in both German and English; additional language abilities are beneficial
