External Account Manager

About the Role

Brenntag Saudi Arabia is searching for a driven and seasoned External Account Manager to enhance our chemical raw materials sales operations based in Jeddah. This role focuses primarily on the coatings and construction industry sectors in Jeddah and the western region, requiring a thorough understanding of the chemical engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement sales strategies aimed at achieving monthly and yearly revenue and growth targets within the coatings and construction chemicals sector.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business prospects across customers, manufacturers, and end-user groups.
• Forge and nurture strong partnerships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders in related industries like paints, coatings, inks, adhesives, and construction chemicals.
• Deliver direct technical sales assistance, encompassing product recommendations, formulation collaboration, and problem-solving support.
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor movements, and evolving client demands to refine sales approaches proactively.
• Work closely with clients' R&D and supply chain teams to coordinate sales initiatives that drive mutual business growth.
• Generate accurate sales forecasts using market data and intelligence to support senior management’s strategic decisions.
• Manage the negotiation of contracts, pricing structures, and supply agreements to benefit both Brenntag and its clients.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, applicable industry regulations, and quality, safety, health, and environment (QSHE) standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience in sales within the chemical raw materials sector, mostly focusing on paints, coatings, adhesives, and construction chemicals, specifically in the Jeddah and western Saudi Arabian markets.
• Comprehensive expertise in raw materials such as resins, solvents, additives, and pigments relevant to coatings and construction chemicals.
• A proven record of achieving or surpassing sales targets in the Saudi marketplace.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in both English and Arabic.
• Willingness and ability to travel within Saudi Arabia as required.
