Estimator - Aluminium Windows and Doors

Role Overview

IMPartners is partnering with SAC Facades, a South Australian company specializing in aluminium window, door, and façade solutions for residential and commercial projects, to find an experienced Estimator. This position involves analyzing project documents, producing accurate quantity take-offs, and creating quotations that cover all aspects including fabrication, materials, hardware, glazing, and installation needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quotations for aluminium window, door, and façade systems for various residential and commercial projects.
• Analyze architectural plans, specifications, schedules, and tender documents thoroughly.
• Carry out precise material and quantity take-offs.
• Determine requirements for aluminium systems, glass, hardware, fabrication, and installation processes.
• Source and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Account for labor, site access, logistics, lead times, and delivery obstacles specific to each project.
• Detect scope omissions, commercial risks, and apply tender qualifications as necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to clarify and refine project needs.
• Manage deadlines for quotations and maintain updated oversight of tender opportunities.
• Assist in transitioning awarded projects to fabrication and delivery teams seamlessly.
• Continuously enhance estimating templates, pricing databases, and quotation procedures.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in estimating aluminium windows, doors, glazing, or façade packages.
• Strong capability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and related tender documentation.
• Familiarity with aluminium framing systems along with glass, hardware, and installation requirements.
• Competence in software such as V6 and CAD or Revit is highly desirable.
• Proficient numerical skills paired with sound commercial judgment.
• Ability to identify gaps in scope, associated risks, and exclusions prior to submission of estimates.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders efficiently.
• Capable of handling simultaneous deadlines without compromising accuracy.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with ERP, estimating, or quotation systems is a plus.
