Job Overview

The role involves performing preventive, corrective, and troubleshooting maintenance on all electrical equipment within the plant to ensure the process facilities operate reliably and remain available.

Key Responsibilities

• Isolate and energize both Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV) motors, UPS systems, transformers, generators, and other electrical circuits following company authorization protocols. This includes skilled fault diagnosis and resolving electrical issues for high and low voltage devices.
• Complete electrical isolation confirmation certificates to verify maintenance activities are properly finalized.
• Identify and procure required spare parts and tools necessary for maintenance tasks.
• Conduct routine, predictive, and preventive maintenance inspections, including visual checks, to ensure optimal operational conditions of electrical assets.
• Execute new installations, modifications, and equipment testing according to prescribed plans and under supervisor guidance, ensuring compliance with all operational parameters.
• Spot opportunities for improvement within maintenance activities and assist senior personnel in making system upgrades.
• Verify maintenance task completion, document activities, and complete maintenance activity sheets to confirm adherence to requirements.
• Maintain accurate records in the system to track work order failures and contribute inputs for method statements and near-miss reports.
• Update and sustain electrical drawings, records, and documentation to guarantee system availability.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a Secondary School Certificate accompanied by a vocational trade certificate in a relevant electrical field.
• At least 4 years of practical experience maintaining electrical equipment within a large industrial plant environment, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
