Job description
Overview
We are looking for several EAP Counsellors or Clinical Psychologists to offer both virtual and in-person mental health support to clients in the UAE. The role focuses on delivering brief, solution-oriented therapy, structured counselling, and work-life assistance for working adults. We invite qualified mental health professionals committed to providing high-quality, confidential, and culturally sensitive counselling services throughout the UAE to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to 24/7 EAP hotline calls during assigned shifts, assessing callers' mental health and coordinating referrals or follow-up as needed.
- Provide initial, single-session, or short-term therapy to callers, delivering appropriate support and information tailored to their needs.
- Manage appointment requests for structured counselling sessions via telephone, video, or face-to-face, within the specified timelines.
- Offer empathetic guidance, education on coping mechanisms, and stress management strategies suited to each client.
Privacy and Professional Conduct
- Manage all client cases professionally, adhering strictly to ethical codes and standards.
- Document client details, session notes, and treatment plans within 24 hours post-session on a designated web portal.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records securely in the system.
Licensing and Compliance
- Maintain valid professional licenses, work visa, and indemnity insurance essential for practice.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be UAE citizens or mental health professionals holding a valid UAE work visa.
- Hold a Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or Clinical Psychology.
- Possess at least two years of post-qualification clinical or EAP counselling experience.
- Have current professional licenses from relevant UAE health authorities (e.g., CDA, DHA, DOH, DCD, MOHAP).
- Carry valid Medical Malpractice and/or Professional Indemnity Insurance.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English; additional language skills are advantageous.
- Available to work shifts totaling up to 40 hours per week.
Additional Information
- Employment is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential renewal or extension.
- Flexible shiftwork arrangement allowing work from preferred locations with necessary equipment (mobile phone, laptop, internet).
- Face-to-face counselling sessions are required when requested, conducted at client’s or company’s office in Dubai.
- Payment is monthly based on the number of sessions recorded in the web portal each month.
- Professionals must hold their own medical malpractice and/or professional indemnity insurance to cover claims related to professional negligence, malpractice, or breach of confidentiality.
