Dispatch Coordinator

Position Overview

The role of Dispatch Coordinator at Ami Bites based in Harare entails overseeing the smooth allocation and tracking of customer orders to delivery riders, working under the supervision of the Operations Manager or Managing Director. This is a full-time position operating in a hybrid setup.

Core Duties

• Confirm receipt of customer orders promptly.
• Assign orders to riders considering their location and delivery capacity.
• Coordinate with restaurant partners to track food preparation times.
• Monitor ongoing deliveries to identify and address any delays.
• Provide customers with timely updates regarding their order status.
• Document completed deliveries and evaluate rider performance.
• Respond to inquiries from both customers and riders during delivery processes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• At least five O' Level passes including English and Mathematics.
• Additional certification or diploma in Logistics, Business Administration, Customer Service, Transport Management, or related disciplines is advantageous.
• Preferred minimum one year experience in dispatch, logistics, customer service, transport coordination, or food delivery operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with smartphone technology, delivery applications, and WhatsApp Business.
