About the Role
Join The Talbot Group as a Disability Support Specialist based in Prosperous, County Kildare, Ireland. This position offers an hourly wage between €18 and €20, along with opportunities for continuous professional development and a generous referral bonus scheme of €1,500.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized, high-quality support that reflects each resident’s unique needs and aspirations.
- Encourage autonomy, social inclusion, and meaningful engagement in everyday activities.
- Mentor and provide leadership to frontline staff by setting strong examples and encouraging best practices.
- Provide assistance with medication management, fulfill key-working duties, contribute to care planning, and execute clinical and support strategies effectively.
- Develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with residents, their families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance individual outcomes.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations is maintained.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess a QQI Level 6 or higher qualification in Social Care, Healthcare, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of two years’ experience in a role such as Direct Support Worker or an equivalent position.
- Hold a valid full Irish driving licence.
- Be an Irish, EU, or EEA passport holder.
- Demonstrate excellent communication abilities along with a proactive, empathetic, and person-focused attitude.
