Director of Visual Production

About the Role

Based in Las Vegas, the Director of Visual Production at MGM Resorts International is the senior leader dedicated to overseeing the quality and growth of the internal visual media team. This role involves leading videographers, photographers, editors, and retouchers to deliver superior visual content for campaigns, property marketing, and operational uses. Collaborating with producers and creative leadership, this person ensures every visual project meets high artistic and technical standards, influencing all stages from concept to final delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the creative vision and visual strategy setting the standard for all video and photographic outputs across MGM Resorts brands and properties.
• Mentor and develop a specialized team of visual professionals enhancing their technical skills, storytelling abilities, and creative consistency.
• Provide expert direction during shoots to craft lighting, camera setups, and resolve technical challenges ensuring optimal footage and images.
• Oversee post-production activities including editing, color correction, and retouching with keen attention to detail ensuring brand alignment.
• Manage workflow, establish technical capture standards, organize file systems, and oversee studio operations including equipment investments.
• Work closely with other production directors, producers, and creatives to translate ideas into feasible visual plans aligned with technical needs.
• Collaborate with external directors and freelance teams on major productions to maintain quality and consistency with internal standards.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum eight years' experience in video, photography, and post-production across visual media.
• At least four years of leadership experience managing teams of visual production specialists.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proven background in an internal creative agency, large matrix company, or high-volume production studio, demonstrating operational leadership and team development.
