About the Role

Join Royal Mail as a Delivery Postperson based at the Kidlington Delivery Office (OX5 2DW). This permanent full-time position involves working 37 hours per week over 5 days between Monday and Sunday, with working hours from 07:29 to 16:09. Due to service needs, you will be scheduled to work one Sunday in every six.

Royal Mail is reinventing delivery services for the future, providing an essential community service through all weather conditions. As a Postperson, your role will be vital in connecting people, delivering everything from exam results and tax documents to wedding invitations and online purchases. This physically active role promotes fitness and community involvement.

Candidate Profile

  • Energetic, self-driven, and able to work independently
  • Reliable, well-organized, punctual, and committed to excellent customer service
  • Personable with a friendly demeanor, acting as a positive presence within the community
  • Capable of walking long distances and working outdoors regardless of weather conditions
  • Strong community spirit and pride in the work performed
  • Possession of a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points

Additional Information

While roles with 35 to 37 hours per week are classified as full-time for recruitment, those below 37 hours are categorized as part-time in contracts.

Responsibilities include securely delivering all assigned items on your route, including election materials and specific products such as food or alcohol, all managed in line with company standards.
