Role Overview

The organization is hiring a detail-focused Data Analyst to turn raw data into practical insights that support business decisions. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams to spot trends, prepare reports and dashboards, and share findings that improve performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather data from different sources, then clean, check, and analyze it for accuracy and usefulness.
• Build dashboards, reports, and visual summaries using business intelligence tools.
• Study data patterns and translate them into clear recommendations for stakeholders.
• Create and refine SQL queries for extracting and reporting information.
• Work with business, product, and engineering teams to understand reporting needs.
• Spot trends, irregularities, and areas where processes can be improved.
• Maintain strong data quality, consistency, and integrity across reporting systems.
• Set up automation for recurring reports and repeated analytical tasks whenever possible.
• Record data definitions, analysis methods, and reporting standards for future reference.
• Explain findings in a way that is understandable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a closely related discipline is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL for querying and managing datasets.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, formulas, and analytical functions.
• Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
• Exposure to Python or R for analysis is considered an added advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to handle several priorities at once while maintaining accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Working knowledge of relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Understanding of ETL workflows and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Power Query, DAX, or advanced Excel capabilities.
• Knowledge of business metrics, KPIs, and reporting best practices.
• Certifications in Data Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, or SQL are beneficial.
