Role Overview
This opportunity is for a Data Analyst supporting the Finance Analytics team from the company’s corporate headquarters in Plymouth, Minnesota. The position is hybrid and requires one day per week on site. The selected candidate will work on data analysis, help strengthen a developing data ecosystem, support analytics growth, and collaborate across teams to turn data into business decisions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Gather data from several sources, then clean and verify it for accuracy.
- Study datasets to uncover trends, recurring patterns, and practical insights.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into data-backed recommendations.
- Create, run, and maintain SQL queries and database structures used for analysis.
- Share results in a straightforward way that non-technical audiences can easily understand.
- Compute KPIs and financial measures that support strategic planning and decisions.
- Take on additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in data analytics, finance, statistics, mathematics, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in data analysis or a comparable analytical position.
- Prior exposure to data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI is preferred.
- Solid grasp of finance concepts and principles.
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries and manage Excel workbooks effectively.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation
The role offers a base salary between $60,000 and $70,000 per year, excluding bonuses and benefits. The broader salary grade for this level is $79,200 to $110,900. Total compensation includes base pay plus variable pay tied to performance and company objectives.
