Role Overview

This position involves managing both customer-facing quotation processes and technical estimating duties. As a key contributor to commercial decisions, the role supports revenue generation by working closely with engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams to provide precise cost estimates, detailed tenders, and superior customer service. Candidates must demonstrate initiative, accountability, and problem-solving skills while handling complex technical details.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage customer inquiries from start to finish, ensuring timely, accurate, and proactive communications.
• Prepare comprehensive, complex quotations tailored to data centre and manufacturing products with high accuracy and consistency.
• Serve as the main contact for customers on pricing, order status, technical questions, and contract administration.
• Collaborate with internal European sales teams to offer both technical and commercial assistance.
• Negotiate customer contracts and assist in agreement structuring as necessary.
• Develop detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents aligned with project requirements.
• Analyze technical drawings, documentation, and contracts to confirm correct pricing.
• Create structured pricing schedules and proposals that meet client needs and project parameters.
• Solicit, assess, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure optimum value.
• Identify possible commercial risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering improvements.
• Analyze pricing data, project information, and supplier feedback to aid decision-making processes.
• Facilitate project handover to delivery teams after award, ensuring clear communication of scope, risks, and commercial elements.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of three years’ experience in estimating, quotation, or tendering roles within construction or manufacturing sectors.
• Proficient understanding of building projects, with prior main contractor experience being an advantage.
• Experienced in preparing complex quotations and interpreting technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Competent in Microsoft Excel and familiar with costing or estimating software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and confidence with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Highly organized with an ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Eligible to work fully in Ireland.
• Preferred: experience related to data centre or manufacturing settings and familiarity with engineering or technical products.
