Customer Delivery Driver - Horwich, Bolton

Role Overview

As a Customer Delivery Driver for Tesco in Horwich, your role extends beyond just driving; you act as the representative of Tesco when meeting customers at their homes. This role involves physical involvement and a variety of tasks, often working independently throughout the day but supported by a team back at the base.

Working Hours

• Monday: 5 PM to 11 PM
• Tuesday: 5 PM to 11 PM
• Thursday: 5 PM to 11 PM
• Friday: 5 PM to 11 PM
• Saturday: 5 PM to 11 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the van, trays, and workspace to ensure all orders are delivered in excellent condition.
• Load the van safely and perform necessary checks to guarantee the vehicle is roadworthy and reliable for deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with customers about any order changes, substitutions, or items nearing expiration, offering refunds when necessary to maintain a smooth customer experience.
• Handle all products carefully, treating each order as your own to uphold quality and customer trust.
• Deliver orders punctually within customers' designated time slots, providing warm and genuine service to leave a positive impression.

Candidate Requirements

• Develop strong relationships with team members to foster a positive work environment and deliver excellent customer service.
• Exhibit a friendly and welcoming attitude towards both customers and colleagues.
• Adapt swiftly to changing customer needs and embrace flexibility while on the road and at the store.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (manual or automatic) for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points on record.
