Role Overview

As a Crew Planner, you will prepare monthly pilot bid packages and awards to ensure compliance with collective agreements and scheduling requirements while maintaining balanced staffing across all rosters. You will also strategize and coordinate all pilot training activities on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop operational pairings and integrate various training schedules to assemble comprehensive bid packages.
• Produce monthly crew schedules based on submitted bids.
• Continuously monitor operational demands to adjust crew assignments as necessary.
• Examine commercial flight schedules to forecast staffing needs.
• Preplan recurrent and initial line checks monthly, accounting for training progress.
• Organize monthly training sessions including simulator, classroom, and instructor-led line indoctrination.
• Collaborate with Flight Operations training management to ensure training aligns with departmental goals and Canadian Aviation Regulations.
• Manage modifications to training plans throughout each month as required.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree relevant to the field.
• At least two years' experience in airline crew scheduling or planning.
• Proficiency in Crew Planning/Scheduling software and familiarity with Pelesys LMS/QMS systems.
• Knowledgeable about transport jet aircraft regulations, documentation, and equipment.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and various shift patterns as needed.
• Eligibility to hold a RAIC and maintain security clearance.
• Capability to work autonomously under time and resource pressures while also contributing effectively in a team setting.
