About the Role
The Creative Artworker position is part of Mercer's Impact team, a diverse group of professionals including consultants, creative thinkers, designers, and project managers. This role involves transforming initial creative concepts into fully finished artwork suitable for both print and digital media. The ideal candidate will maintain brand consistency, oversee production processes, and collaborate closely with suppliers and project teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert initial design concepts into accurate, polished artwork across various formats and platforms.
- Ensure typography, layout, and design elements remain consistent and on-brand throughout all materials.
- Manage artwork through all stages of production, including coordination with external suppliers.
- Maintain strict adherence to brand guidelines and campaign strategies.
- Deliver final artwork within deadlines and budget constraints, reporting proactively on potential risks.
- Organize and prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining comprehensive filing systems.
- Participate in internal reviews to guarantee quality and correctness in grammar, spelling, and layout.
- Contribute ideas to continually elevate creative quality and consistency.
- Manage time estimates to optimize business value.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong expertise in layout, typography, and visual hierarchy, with a keen eye for detail.
- A portfolio showcasing both technical skills and creative aptitude in print and digital projects.
- Successful experience delivering work to multiple clients across various channels.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud tools including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Skilled in PowerPoint and the creation of presentation templates.
- Good understanding of print production processes, data, and color management.
- Ability to work within brand guidelines and respond effectively to feedback.
- Retouching and visualization skills are essential.
- Strong time management skills and capability to perform under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three to four years of experience as a creative artworker, preferably in an agency or design-driven environment.
