Job description
Role Overview
The position involves comprehensive cost management activities including establishing and maintaining product cost standards, validating Bills of Materials (BOM), and overseeing inventory costing and valuation. The incumbent will also handle preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, conduct variance analysis, and lead cost control measures to improve production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and uphold standard costs for various products while validating BOMs accurately.
- Oversee inventory valuation processes ensuring proper costing and reconciliation.
- Formulate annual operating budgets, continuously monitor their usage, and analyze deviations.
- Evaluate Material Price Variance and Overhead Absorption Variance and suggest necessary improvements.
- Manage and review slow-moving and obsolete stock, participate actively in physical stock verification, and guarantee precise inventory reconciliation.
- Track the production cost per unit, assess scrap and wastage levels, and drive initiatives aimed at cost reduction to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Prepare timely Management Information System (MIS) reports daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Handle both direct and indirect taxation matters effectively.
- Assess return on investment (ROI) and payback period for capital expenditures (CAPEX).
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and support internal as well as external audit activities.
- Adhere strictly to company policies and legal statutory requirements.
