Role Overview

We are seeking a Construction Manager focused on Quality Control to lead quality assurance and control efforts on hyperscale data center construction projects. This role involves collaborating with project leadership, superintendents, commissioning teams, subcontractors, client representatives, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure construction procedures comply with contract terms, project specs, codes, industry standards, and owner requirements.

The position covers various disciplines including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and connectivity systems to promote reliable, high-performance facilities through effective commissioning and smooth project turnover.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct quality assurance and quality control processes during all construction phases.
• Conduct thorough field inspections and maintain documentation verifying compliance with contract documents, approved submittals, manufacturer guidelines, codes, and specifications.
• Assess construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and installation approaches to uphold quality standards.
• Collaborate with project management, subcontractors, commissioning teams, client reps, and specialty contractors to troubleshoot and resolve quality concerns, ensuring project timelines are maintained.
• Witness and record inspections, testing, commissioning, and system validation activities to support project readiness and owner acceptance.
• Identify nonconforming work, document findings, and verify timely corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection reports, deficiency logs, turnover documentation and other quality control files.
• Coordinate quality efforts across multiple construction disciplines such as civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and connectivity.
• Utilize construction management software tools like Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, and Bluebeam to manage all quality documentation and reporting.
• Support project closeout by ensuring systems are complete, fully documented, commissioned, and ready for handover to the owner.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• At least five years’ experience in quality control, field engineering, construction management, or commercial construction.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, installation practices, quality management techniques, and relevant building codes.
• Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and technical documents.
• Proven ability to perform quality inspections, manage deficiencies, and coordinate resolution of corrective actions.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management platforms including Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, and Bluebeam.

Preferred Experience

• Background in hyperscale data center, mission-critical, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, or large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Familiarity with commissioning processes, integrated systems testing, and staged project turnovers.
• Knowledge of owner quality standards and environments that demand mission-critical construction precision.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams across various building systems.
• Expertise supporting specialized disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, civil, architectural, fire protection, or connectivity systems.
