Role Description

The Developer Community Manager will be responsible for designing and carrying out sustained initiatives to strengthen the regional developer community under the guidance of the Developer Relations team. This includes connecting with local universities, technology hubs, startup entities, and developer groups to broaden program impacts and increase adoption of relevant technologies.

The role provides a direct on-the-ground presence for Developer Relations within the country, requiring occasional travel and keen involvement in the local tech landscape to expand beyond existing client networks. Strategic execution and regional insights are integral to tailoring impactful programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance Developer Ecosystem Programs in partnership with stakeholders and community leaders to promote awareness of Google technologies regionally.
• Build relationships with premier local tech meetups and communities, assess their requirements, and support them via speaker engagements, credit offerings, and resources.
• Gather and analyze community feedback to refine technology awareness campaigns effectively.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Comprehensive understanding of developer technologies aligned with startup and developer lifecycle needs.
• Minimum of 1.5 years in managing ecosystem programs related to technology, startups, or student communities.
• Established and robust connections within the local developer ecosystem enabling immediate contribution.
• Preferred knowledge of mobile application development market and associated challenges.
• Experience in mentoring or supporting regional technology ecosystems.
• Proven ability to orchestrate high-impact, cross-functional programs involving multiple stakeholders.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel domestically within India to meet role requirements.
• Strong adaptability to ambiguity with a proactive approach towards driving progress.

Educational Requirements

Applicants should hold a degree in one of the following: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), or Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc. IT).
