Job Purpose

Join a multidisciplinary project team as a representative of AESG to carry out site inspections and ensure that testing results meet required standards. Deliver commissioning services maintaining the high quality expected by AESG clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct independent site inspections within the electrical discipline.
• Review design documents, tolerances, and agreed working methods.
• Evaluate test procedures and results for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Assist in reviewing project documentation for adherence to specifications and codes.
• Report findings clearly and accurately to senior team members.
• Communicate professionally with contractors' commissioning teams.
• Make site observations regarding installation quality.
• Prepare high-quality site observation reports and documentation.
• Participate in relevant meetings and workshops.
• Monitor installation progress, submittal reviews, and adherence to engineering and commissioning guidelines.
• Track task completion, manage lookahead schedules and milestone trackers.
• Maintain detailed daily logs of inspections, document reviews, and site decisions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Educational background in MEP or Building Services Engineering including degrees such as BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Alternatively, a college diploma (HNC, HND, or equivalent) or certificate (ONC, OND, MEP Trade time served plus City & Guilds certificate) in relevant fields.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience with an engineering degree.
• At least 6 years of job-related experience if holding a college diploma.
• Minimum 7 years of experience if qualified by college certificate or trade certification.
• Industry accreditations such as Incorporated Engineer, CSA Grade 4, or commissioning certifications (BCA, ACG, NEBB) are desirable but not mandatory.
