About Constance Le Chaland

Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Record attendance promptly upon starting the shift.
- Review the menu for the day.
- Coordinate with the butcher regarding the daily meat requirements.
- Inspect the refrigerator and communicate food needs and requisitions to the Chef.
- Assess leftovers from previous setups for usability by sampling and verifying consumption dates carefully.
- Initiate the day’s general kitchen preparation.
- Chop vegetables as needed for daily meals.
- Properly handle and store food items including laminating products.
- Prepare dishes under the supervision of senior kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work environment by following proper procedures.
- Clean all kitchen equipment after use.
- Ensure a smooth handover to the next shift.
- Set up and prepare food for buffet service.
- Train, assist, and mentor trainee staff.
- Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the Executive Chef.
Qualifications and Experience
- Middle or secondary education completed; additional relevant training or certification is advantageous.
- Mandatory possession of a valid food handler certificate.
- At least one year’s experience in the hotel industry required.
- Experience at luxury resort establishments is a beneficial asset.
Technical Skills and Attributes
- Self-driven with a proactive approach.
- Excellent organizational capabilities.
- Keen eagerness to learn and develop skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to efficiently perform in fast-paced, high-pressure settings.
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English; knowledge of a second language is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
