The group at FTB Innosphere works on keeping client environments running smoothly through issue resolution, implementation support, documentation, and tailored report development.
Role overview
This position is for a Cloud Engineer who will handle cloud infrastructure, monitoring platforms, automation, security, and operational support across both cloud and on-premises environments.
Responsibilities
- Administer, connect, and support monitoring platforms such as Pandora FMS for cloud and on-premises systems, including application uptime and performance tracking.
- Plan, build, and maintain AWS-based cloud environments.
- Use Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, and similar technologies to automate provisioning.
- Track cloud systems to maintain strong availability and performance.
- Improve cloud efficiency and help reduce running costs.
- Handle cloud security, IAM configuration, network setup, and compliance-related requirements.
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure and deployment problems.
- Configure monitoring through SNMP, WMI, agents, and APIs.
- Work closely with DevOps, development, and security teams.
- Support backup processes, disaster recovery planning, and system upgrade activities.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of AWS services with a DevOps-oriented approach.
- Solid understanding of Linux administration basics.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals.
- Practical experience using monitoring and observability platforms.
- Understanding of AWS architecture principles.
- Hands-on experience with RDS databases including MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Strong exposure to Datadog and New Relic; Pandora FMS knowledge is preferred.
- Good grasp of network concepts such as VLAN, SNMP, NetFlow, routing, and firewalls.
- Basic scripting ability in Bash or Python.
- Exposure to Azure or GCP is an added advantage.
