Overview
Alpine Solutions Group is hiring a Business Analyst to collaborate remotely with a banking client. This role focuses on bridging communication between business stakeholders and data engineering teams, refining business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria within a cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact between business units and data engineers to clearly document requirements.
- Translate complex banking domain needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Works closely with banking stakeholders to ensure all implications on teams and systems are thoroughly understood and addressed.
- Maintain organized documentation and support an efficient intake and prioritization process for requirement management.
- Perform data analysis leveraging SQL to validate and enhance requirement accuracy and support decisions.
- Partner daily with data engineering teams within a cloud-based infrastructure, preferably Azure.
- Assist in developing and enhancing standardized processes for capturing, managing, and documenting business requirements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst focusing on banking and data domains.
- Solid understanding of banking concepts such as deposits, loans, and related terminology.
- Previous work experience in cloud environments, with Azure expertise preferred.
- Proficient in documenting and organizing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experienced using Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalent tools for requirement tracking.
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and analysis.
- Hands-on experience collaborating with data engineers and supporting data engineering teams.
- Proven ability to gather and specify detailed business requirements effectively.
- Capability to establish and improve formal intake procedures for new requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Power BI or Microsoft Fabric tools.
Additional Information
This position is offered on a contract basis with full remote work eligibility. The role involves significant interaction across various banking functions to ensure business requirements translate effectively into technical solutions within a cloud-focused data engineering environment.
