Role Summary

The Business Analyst collaborates closely with clients and internal teams to capture, analyze, validate, and thoroughly document business requirements. The position ensures alignment between business objectives and stakeholder expectations, translating these needs into precise system and application specifications to support solution development and project delivery. The analyst proactively manages requirement changes, identifies risks, and applies industry and technology knowledge throughout the delivery lifecycle to facilitate successful project completion.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients and stakeholders to gather and verify business and system requirements.
• Define system boundaries, goals, and business workflows using expertise in IT and industry standards.
• Serve as the main communication bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Convert business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
• Identify potential issues, risks, and the impact of changing requirements, proposing suitable mitigation measures.
• Participate in solution design, focusing on visualization, user experience, and configuration considerations.
• Prepare thorough and high-quality requirements documentation following accepted practices and tools.
• Maintain requirements management, ensure traceability, and implement change control procedures.
• Create and execute acceptance test strategies and test cases, supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Contribute to proposal preparation, conduct feasibility assessments, and assist with project rollouts.
• Evaluate the operational impact of technological solutions on current business environments.
• Manage and align client expectations throughout project phases effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field, or comparable experience.
• Approximately 4 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst.

• Strong analytical thinking and adept problem-solving abilities.
• Experienced in eliciting and documenting requirements through structured methodologies.

• Skilled in prioritizing requirements, managing changes, and ensuring traceability.
• Proficient in risk assessment and impact analysis related to requirements.
• Creative mindset to address complex business challenges effectively.
• Proven experience building productive stakeholder relationships and fostering collaborative environments.
• Industry domain experience in at least one sector.

Specialized Expertise

• Developing comprehensive user manuals and educational materials.
• Modeling business rules effectively.
• Designing and implementing acceptance tests and managing UAT processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Public Sector implementations.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Additional Information

This position requires eligibility for a government security clearance (CAT 1) and is open exclusively to Singapore Citizens due to project demands.
