Role overview
This position focuses on preparing proposals and offers, handling contract discussions, and ensuring obligations under contracts are met while assessing commercial risk. The role supports the team in delivering on service, quality, and timeliness targets and operates within commercial policy objectives and operating budgets. It includes moderate authority to enter into and execute commercial agreements, and requires strong commercial judgement to achieve business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Build proposals, engage with customers in negotiations, and help ensure agreements create shareholder value while supporting competitive pricing. This may also involve preparing and submitting required tender documentation.
- Bring strong knowledge across product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer segments, and contribute to shaping strategy for a broad sales territory, including resource control.
- Review straightforward internal and external business issues and recommend practical best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Stay current on industry trends that may affect the work.
- Use sound judgement to solve complex tasks and issues across projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns, or customers. Assess the quality of information provided, ask relevant questions of stakeholders or clients, and develop recommendations based on multiple internal sources and selected external inputs.
- Lead functional teams or projects with limited resources, low risk, or moderate complexity. Communicate complex ideas clearly, influence others’ views on specific topics, and guide others toward different perspectives when needed.
- Work across different time zones as needed, including reading, monitoring, and responding to contacts outside standard working hours.
Requirements
- Extensive professional experience is required, with knowledge level equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and leadership capability.
- Proven ability to analyse and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated experience leading programmes or projects.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programmes.
- Documented project management skills.
