Bartender

Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate and talented bartender to join our team at the Verdala Wellness Hotel - AX Privilege. This role requires a mixologist dedicated to crafting a variety of beverages, including traditional cocktails, alcohol-free options, wellness shots, herbal infusions, and health-conscious drinks, while delivering outstanding customer service in a welcoming environment. The candidate will also be responsible for bar upkeep, inventory management, and contributing to a superior guest experience.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare diverse beverages such as fresh juices, wellness shots, herbal infusions, functional drinks, house-made syrups, non-alcoholic cocktails, and classic alcoholic cocktails to fulfill guest requests.
• Provide friendly, efficient service when taking orders and serving drinks, educating guests about the product offerings.
• Recommend wellness beverages, mocktails, teas, smoothies, and light cocktails tailored to guests' tastes, dietary restrictions, or health objectives.
• Maintain the bar area and beverage preparation stations in pristine condition, strictly following hygiene standards and local food and beverage regulations.
• Ensure the bar is well-stocked with ingredients including herbal blends, fresh produce, wellness supplements, and alcoholic beverages as needed.
• Complete inventory documentation promptly and request restocking to prevent shortages.
• Prepare and organize garnishes for both traditional and wellness beverages, keeping the garnish station fully stocked throughout shifts.
• Manage all cash transactions, billing processes, and cash float handling in accordance with hotel policies and accuracy requirements.
• Assist the Restaurant Manager and team with additional tasks or operational needs to continuously enhance guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a bartender in a similar capacity is required.
• Fluent English language skills; knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
• Comprehensive understanding of cocktail preparation, wines, spirits, mixology techniques, and health-focused beverages.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for effective guest engagement.
• Capability to perform efficiently under pressure in a busy service environment while managing multiple orders.
• Familiarity with health and safety standards applicable to alcohol service.
• Previous experience in a 5-star hotel or upscale hospitality setting is preferred.
